Creating, editing, and deleting organizations

The Organization property categorizes users by their company or department. Administrators can select an organization when they create a new user. Users can change their organization as part of their personal settings as described in the BlueCielo Kronodoc User's Guide.

To create a new organization:

  1. In the Settings view, expand Kronodoc installation, expand Workspace properties, and select Organizations. A page listing the existing organizations appears.
  2. Click New. A page showing the available organization options appears.
  3. Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.
Organization options
Option Description

Organization code

Type a unique code to identify the organization.

Organization

Type a name for the new organization as you want it to appear to users.

Set

Makes the organization available for selection by users when configuring their personal information.

Search

Not used.

  1. Click Create. The page listing the existing organizations reappears with the new organization added.

To edit an existing organization:

  1. In the Settings view, expand Kronodoc installation, expand Workspace properties, and select Organizations. A page listing the existing organizations appears.
  2. Select the organization that you want to edit and click Edit. A page showing the organization's current configuration appears.
  3. Select or type options using the descriptions in the preceding table.
  4. Click Save. The page listing the existing organizations reappears.

To delete an existing organization:

Warning    Do not delete a organization if it is being used by any users. Clear the Set and Search options instead.

  1. In the Settings view, expand Kronodoc installation, expand Workspace properties, and select Organizations. A page listing the existing organizations appears.
  2. Select the organization that you want to delete and click Delete. A confirmation dialog box appears.
  3. Click OK. The page listing the existing organizations reappears with the selected organization removed.
